The Rowing School (FIC enabled - Italian Rowing Federation) of the
Società Canottieri Firenze, in tandem and in collaboration with the University
of the Studies of Florence, at a cost of €20 / month, organizes quarterly rowing courses, renewable up to a maximum of three times during the same Academic Year, dedicated to university students in the age group 19 - 23 years old.
Student requirements are:
Enrollment in a university course at the University of Florence, on a par with the study programme undertaken and in order with the payment of university fees
Good swimmer
In possession of a medical certificate of qualification for sporting activity
Willingness to attend courses punctually and for personal gain
At the end of the courses, a diploma of attendance will be issued.
The courses will be organised according to the following weekly timetable:
MONDAY - TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 6:00 PM - Gym or floor activities
For the novice, Società Canottieri Firenze is one of the oldest and most glorious sports clubs in Italy (founded in 1886), affiliated with the Italian Rowing Federation and whose founding principles are the promotion and dissemination of the practice of sports in general, mainly rowing, as a means of physical and moral education.
Student Courses
The Club has always carried out educational activities in favour of young people, launching them into the practice of sports in general; for this purpose it also has, as its basic goal, the promotion of sports at every level. In particular, over the years Società Canottieri Firenze has distinguished itself for the professionalism it has shown in high-level competitive activity, so much that among its athletes it includes world, European and Olympic champions.
